Repeat Prescriptions

If you are on regular treatment, the Doctor may authorise a repeat prescription to enable you to order medication without an appointment. You may request prescriptions ONLINE, in person at reception or by post. Please allow 48 hours for us to process your request.

Completed prescriptions may be collected from Reception, or you can ask us to send them to one of several city centre pharmacies. We will post them to you if you supply a stamped addressed envelope.

Your Doctor will wish to see you periodically to review the medication, in which case you will be asked to make an appointment. 

 

Generic Prescribing

All Doctors are encouraged to prescribe generically, which means that we use the name of the drug rather than the brand name given by the company that made it (e.g. paracetamol, rather than Panadol). Generic prescribing saves the NHS money without affecting the quality of your care. Whenever appropriate we try to prescribe generically.
