How to Request a Home Visit
If you are too ill to come to the surgery, you may ring for a home visit.
Visits may be done by NHS paramedics or by practice staff.
It helps the doctors to plan their rounds if these requests can be made by l0.30am. Only urgent requests for visits should be made after 10.30.
The Receptionists will ask you for details of what is wrong as this helps the Doctor to assess the degree of urgency and who shouild do the visit. If you are in doubt please ask to speak to the Doctor in person.
Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
