Healthcare Team
Community Midwives
Our Midwives, together with the Doctors, offer ante-natal and post-natal care in the surgery clinics and at home. A range of childbirth options is available, including both midwife and consultant care at the John Radcliffe Hospital. Home confinements may be available in certain circumstances after discussion with the midwife.
Community Nurses
We have a team of Community Nurses who look after the needs of patients who are housebound. They provide nursing care, advice and support for patients and their carers. Messages and requests can be left with the District Nurses on 01865 458420.
Health Visitors
The Health Visitors are specialist Nurses who work in partnership with families and children of all ages both in the home and at the surgery. She has special expertise in promoting and monitoring health e.g. from healthy eating to difficult behaviour and postnatal depression. Together with the GPs, they run the child health clinic (Thursdays 10-11.30) and they are also available for advice on weekdays on 01865 458430.
Attached Staff
Our surgery has a long-standing association with the University. Members of some colleges have access to a college nurse who is available for advice and care of minor illness. She can also help decide on the need for further treatment. She is available each weekday morning during term time in college.
